Diagnosis: Females resemble Ambanus in having a large epigynal atrium, broad copulatory ducts, and in lacking epigynal teeth, but have long, anteriorly extended spermathecae. Males can be easily recognized by the presence of three patellar apophyses and the strongly modified lateral surface of the tibia. Both sexes (unlike those of most coelotines which usually have three promarginal and less than four retromarginal cheliceral teeth) have 6 or 7 promarginal and 5 or 6 retromarginal teeth |
